FAMILY PORTRAITS

This project consists in setting up a pop-up photo studio in vulnerable neighborhoods to offer their residents quick free professional family photo sessions.

We choose one image of each per family portrayed, and print it for them at the spot.

Photos are important documents, testimonials and mementos. Everybody loves a good quality family picture. But professional photographers and studios charge fees that low-income families cannot afford.

Providing those families free photos, IFI gives them equal opportunity to own something that may be small yet very valuable and that will last for a lifetime.

It also promotes love and unity among family members, which is the foundation of a healthy life.

Family portraits are also very important for children. They boost children’s self-esteem because they help the parents or guardians to raise children who identify with their own worth and abilities.

It’s fundamental for the kids to see themselves as a valued and important part of their family unit.
